Additional unique benefits of DanceSport for children and teens

DanceSport combines the art of dance with the fitness of athletes. It’s not only a great form of exercise, developing physical strength, flexibility, coordination, stamina, endurance and fitness, but in addition it also has other unique benefits comparing to other sports:

Uplifting Music and Fun Not many sports and children’s activities are as joyful as dancing. Concentrating on moving your body to uplifting music, instantaneously puts children in a positive headspace and promotes a positive outlook in life.

Encourages socialisation Children and teens in DanceSport learn how to work as part of a team, develop a greater sense of trust and cooperation, and make new dancing friends, which often develop into lifelong friendships.

Communication Skills Since in competitive Ballroom and Latin Dancing, a boy and a girl work together as a couple from an early age, it also allows boys to learn how to communicate with girls, learn to work in a team, develop leadership skills and a desire for victory.

Anti-Bullying Effect Ballroom and Latin dancing can help restore joy and stability in troubled lives and ease the tensions in schools that are disrupted by violence and bullying. Its practice has an anti-bullying effect as it promotes discipline, respect to others, and teamwork!
